WHY NICOTRA GEBHARDT COPRA?

Compact by design.
Selected for your air duty.

COPRA brings a short internal-rotor EC motor, aerodynamic impeller and integrated control into one compact plenum-fan system.

For engineers specifying new AHUs, fan arrays or existing fan-section upgrades, the advantage starts with how the components work together.

Meet COPRA — see the compact fan assembly from every angle.

01 / Airflow & efficiency

Less obstruction. More room for airflow.

See how motor position changes the airflow through the impeller. COPRA’s short internal-rotor motor keeps the impeller passage clear while keeping the assembly compact.

LESS AIRFLOW OBSTRUCTION

Reduce aerodynamic interference.

A motor projecting into the impeller passage can disturb the airflow. COPRA’s motor arrangement reduces this obstruction, supporting aerodynamic efficiency.

SHORT AXIAL LENGTH

Useful where fan-section depth is limited.

Compact packaging provides more flexibility when arranging the fan inside an AHU or multi-fan installation.

02 / Motor & impeller

One coordinated fan system.

A compact EC motor and a three-dimensional twisted airfoil impeller, engineered to work together.

EC MOTOR

Compact, direct-drive construction.

The short internal-rotor motor drives the impeller directly. Integrated electronics provide speed control without a belt-and-pulley transmission.

3D TWIST AIRFOIL

Blade geometry guides the airflow.

The backward-curved aluminium impeller uses three-dimensional airfoil-profiled blades to guide flow through the blade passages and reduce aerodynamic losses.

03 / Low maintenance

Fewer mechanical wear parts.

Direct drive removes belts and pulleys, focusing mechanical wear considerations on the motor and its bearings.

MOTOR & BEARINGS

A simpler mechanical drive.

The motor drives the impeller directly. Motor condition and bearing wear remain key inspection points.

NO BELT TRANSMISSION

Less routine upkeep.

No drive belts to tension, align or replace, and no pulley transmission to maintain.

Low maintenance still includes regular inspection and cleaning. Motor, bearings and control electronics may require servicing or replacement over the operating life.

04 / Real operating conditions

Look beyond one maximum-duty point.

AHUs often operate across different loads. COPRA’s motor and impeller design supports efficient operation at full and reduced speeds.

AIR PERFORMANCE

Required airflow and pressure

Locate the operating points on the selected fan curves and confirm the air duty across the intended range.

ELECTRICAL INPUT

Power at each operating point

Assess the complete fan, motor and control input, together with the time spent at each duty.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Noise, space and controls

Check acoustic data, installation clearances, electrical supply and the selected control interface.

05 / Configuration flexibility

Choose the arrangement that fits.

COPRA Core and COPRA Plug provide different assembly options within the EC plenum-fan family.

COPRA Core fan assembly

COPRA Core

The compact motor-and-impeller assembly for integration into an engineered fan installation.

COPRA Plug fan in its mounting arrangement

COPRA Plug

A fan assembly with its mounting arrangement, selected to suit the equipment and installation scope.

SINGLE FAN / FAN ARRAY

Scale the arrangement around your air duty.

Compact axial length supports configurations with multiple fans positioned side by side and above one another. Quantity, spacing, access and controls form part of the selection.

COPRA Hybrid is a separate product family. This page covers COPRA Core and Plug.

06 / Local selection support

Start with your duty.
Finish with a selected model.

True Aire supports COPRA selection and supply in Malaysia. Send your schedule or specification to identify the appropriate fan configuration.

The selection should establish fan performance, electrical input, dimensions and control requirements together.
